Gregory D. Wiita, President and CEO, Manager*

Gregory D. Wiita

Mr. Greg Wiita is co-founder of Poiesis Medical, a medical device company developing disruptive solutions in infection control/prevention for healthcare facilities, based on the new healthcare platform of value-based purchasing. Mr. Wiita has relentlessly driven the development of the company’s lead product — the Duette™ dual-balloon catheter. Successfully guiding foundation building: Issued Patent, Trademark, Clinical Trials, Fundraising, Product Line Extensions, Two Additional Filed Patents, building a premier advisory group, each ultimately creating the Poiesis Brand.

Mr. Wiita has a track record in the healthcare industry, having Founded three prior medical products companies, each specialized in Brachytherapy, radiotherapy for prostate cancer. What began as a single capital equipment company was transformed into what would be described as a “SaaS model for the healthcare marketplace”. Mr. Wiita’s leadership was instrumental in the successful exit of CR Bard.

Charlene Johnson, Vice President Operations, Marketing and Clinical Education Officer

Charlene Johnson

Charlene Johnson joined Poiesis Medical at its inception. She holds dual bachelor degrees in Business Administration/Marketing and Accounting. Prior to joining Poiesis, Charlene was a valuable member of the Jupiter Medical Center finance team as an accountant. She held an appointed seat on the Finance Department Council and was a member of the Employee Advisory Committee. Prior to earning a second bachelor’s degree in accounting, Charlene had a rewarding sales career with Carrington Laboratories. When she joined Carrington, they were a start-up focusing on wound and incontinence care in the acute and non-acute segments. She successfully introduced the Carrasyn Hydrogel System to the South Florida healthcare market as well as developing an account management system for territory managers. Charlene’s diverse healthcare background in hospital administration and as an industry representative has been a valued perspective in the strategic launch of the dual-balloon technology.

Dr. Bruce E. Wiita, MD, Founder, Manager, and Medical Advisor*

Dr. Bruce E. Wiita

Dr. Bruce Wiita is a company founder. Dr. Wiita is a practicing urologist who has served as Chief of Staff, Chief of Surgery, and Chief of Cancer at two major medical facilities in South Florida. Dr. Wiita holds several medical product patents and is the inventor of the Duette™. University of Miami, BS in Science, 1960; University of Miami, Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, 1964 Internship at Travis AFB 1964- 1965; University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Surgical Residency 1968-1969; University of Miami, Urologic Residency, University of Miami, Jackson 1968-1971. Military Service 1965-1968 US Flight Surgeon, awarded four Air Medals and the Bronze Star.

An ER physician at Duke Raleigh Hospital, Dr. Conger has 20 years experience in clinical and pharmaceutical experience with companies such as Glaxo and is an active advisor and investor in innovative healthcare related companies.

Anita Messal

Anita Messal

Ms. Messal currently serves as the Chief Integration Officer at AccentCare where she is responsible for the successful integration of merged and acquired entities across all areas of the business, while delivering upon expected synergy.

Ms. Messal has over 35 years of experience in the health care and benefits industry. Prior to AccentCare, she most recently served as President & Chief Operating Officer of PlanSource. In this role she was responsible for company technology & operations including all aspects of Technology, Product, Service Delivery, Legal, and Human Resources.

Anita has experience in health plan services, health care delivery, care management, and benefits administration. She has worked with self-funded, fully insured and CMS funded care. Her customers and partners include large and mid-size employers, health plans, insurance carriers, brokers, resellers, enterprise software companies and consumers.

Ms. Messal has participated in fund raising from start-up through IPO and sale to strategic buyers and private equity. Anita has worked in both F100 and start-up companies with experience in public, private and non-profit businesses. Her experience includes working in domestic and international markets, with time spent developing programs and partnerships in the United Kingdom and Europe.

Ms. Messal holds a BA from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Mr. Wedan has over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry and is currently the Executive Chair and CEO of Imricor Medical Systems, Inc. Past roles include Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Applied Biometrics Inc, and founder and CEO of Wedan Technologies, Inc. Mr. Wedan is a member of various international standards committees in the fields of MRI safety and the compatibility of implanted and interventional products in MRI.

Mr. Wedan currently serves on the Board of Directors of Medical Device Research Forum, Inc. and Water Rescue Innovations, Inc., as well as the Advisory Board of Poiesis Medical, LLC.

Mr. Wedan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University (summa cum laude), and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University.

Jack T. Diamond is a renowned, industry leader in innovative health care strategies, solutions, and developments. Mr.
Diamond has participated in and led hundreds of global health care projects including the creation of entire hospital campuses, clinical centers of excellence, surgery centers, physician hospital organizations, and health management organizations. When health care leaders need a creative solution to a pressing problem they call Mr. Diamond. As co-founder of the American Bar Association’s Health Law Section and principal of numerous health care related businesses, Mr. Diamond recognizes what works in health care in order to navigate the ever changing and complicated regulatory framework of the health care industry.

Mark Tibbles is the Managing Director of Strategic Stage Ventures, LLC. and a former Owner/Partner and Director of Intuitive Technology Group, one of the nation’s leading Symantec Partners, holding the coveted National Premier Partner status, providing endpoint management, security and staffing solutions. Intuitive Technology Group (ITG) received a prestigious #2 ranking in Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal 2012 and #16 in 2013 Fast 50 Companies and The 2012 (#461) Inc. 500 List and 2013 (#764) Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest Growing Companies. Intuitive Technology Group was sold in 2017.

Prior to that, Mr. Tibbles was President and Founder of Minnesota based PRC Consulting, Inc. beginning in 1998. PRC Consulting specialized in the management and implementation of IT projects for Fortune 1000 companies. PRC was sold in 2013.

Mr. Tibbles has spent most of his career as a serial entrepreneur, business owner and Corporate Director and is an active venture investor in and advisor to Technology, Life Science and Medical Device companies. Other companies on which Mr. Tibbles serves as a Member of the Board of Directors are Imricor Medical Systems (IMR) which trades on the ASX, THE NERDERY, LLC and OMEDZA.com, Inc., and Advisory Board member of Bright Bucks. On a personal note, Mr. Tibbles has visited over 90 countries; travel and adventure are his passion.
